====== Immich – Family Photos ======

Immich is our **private Google Photos replacement**.  
It automatically backs up photos from our phones and lets us browse by date, album, or face.

===== How to Access =====

  * **Web:** https://photos.torresvault.com
  * Log in with your TorresVault account.

===== Phone Setup (Recommended) =====

==== Android / iOS ====
  - Install the **Immich** app from your app store.
  - Server address: **https://photos.torresvault.com**
  - Log in with your account.
  - Turn on **Automatic backup** for Camera folder.

Suggested folder structure (server-side is automatic; mainly for albums):

  * Albums by year (e.g., `2026 – Everyday Life`)
  * Special albums: `Christmas Lights`, `Vacations`, `Pets`, etc.

===== What Goes in Immich vs Nextcloud? =====

  * **Immich** – All phone photos & videos, family memories.
  * **Nextcloud** – Documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, manuals.

===== Common Tasks =====

  * Create an album → “+ → New album” → add photos.
  * Mark favorites → tap the **★** icon.
  * Find by date or map → use built-in search / timeline.

===== Safety =====

  * Photos are stored on **TorresVault**, not a public cloud.
  * Regular backups are handled on the server side.
